Tribulations Story.

Tribulation was born in Nevada USA on the 22 February 2000, and is the result of many years of experienced careful breeding.  His pedigree contains the greatest lines in the Quarter Horse breed and is all ‘QUARTER HORSE’. As an added bonus he carries no Impressive blood, and is therefore a total outcross to the many Impressive bred quarter horses in Australia.

Tribulation is a Superior Halter Horse with 267 Halter Points and 70 Grand and Reserve Grand Champions. This magnificent horse won a multitude of open futurities in his weanling and yearling years.(pictured right as a weanling)

Tribulation was test bred in the United States, over a handful of good mares. His first foal to show was 2004 filly “Sweet Tribulation”. (pictured right)  As a weanling she won big in the futurities with over $10,000 in winnings. She placed 4th in the APHA World Show.

Tribulation

Another of his progeny in America, Sheza Cool Tribute was a World Show qualifier in both her yearling and 2YO years.

Tribulation’s progeny here in Australia have excelled in the show ring both under saddle and at halter winning vast amounts of National and State, Futurities, Supremes and Best In Show Titles..

Tribulation is a proven sire producing truly versatile progeny that halter and ride with out sacrificing either. For more details on Tribulations progeny please visit his progeny page. We will also be regularly listing the results of Tribs progeny on our bulletin board.

Tribulation’s sire Tribute to Sierra (pictured right) is a 50+ time World and Reserve World Champion Producer.  In 2007 he was top 5 on the Leading Sires List.   His sons are in turn also proving to be outstanding sires and constant producers of the superb quality Tribute To Sierra is known for reproducing his great head and neck, strong shoulder, straight legs, deep heart with a short back and huge hip. He is a great sire with his foals having won in excess of $700,000 in futurities since 1998.

His progeny have amassed well over 1500 APHA points in halter and ridden events.  Tribute To Sierra’s foals have a wonderful balance of conformation, intelligence and great dispositions and they are proving themselves under saddle.

Tribute To Sierra is sired by Sierras Tribute who in turn is by one of the greatest sire influences ever, Sierra Te. This pedigree is jam packed with the greats of USA breeding with the famous Wiescamp breeding through his dam who is Skipper bred.  Maddons Bright Eyes, Quincy Feature and Sonny Go Lucky ensure that a strong ridden influence also exists.

Dual Registration and How it Works.

Tribulation (pictured right) is Dual Registered with both Australian Quarter Horse Association and Paint Horse Association Australia. The white rule in Australia allows ‘ONLY PURE BRED QUARTER HORSES’ with excessive white markings to be registered with the AQHA *as long as they tested negative OLWS.

The American Quarter Horse Association however, allowed horses carrying the Overo gene to also be part of their registry; this is what has caused the turnaround in the United States with the white rule. This rule only affects halter horses in American classes .

Tribulation carries NO PAINT BLOOD, hence no Overo gene. Tribulation is registered PHAA under the crop out rule. His colouring is described as Sabino.

Tribulation when bred to Registered AQHA and ASB mares will produce progeny eligible for AQHA and PHAA registration

My first memories of Trib were visiting the Coronation Park website and being in awe over not only Trib, but the breathtaking foals he was putting on the ground, there wasn’t just one stunning baby but many, they all seemed to have his amazing correct, balanced conformation, the most amazing fronts, that look at me presence, with the best movement I have seen in a long time.

I would go back and check on the progress of the foals, my directions were slowly changing, Trib was the first QH I had seen in long time that really appealed to me, his amazing front, great leg, no posty hocks, nice sloping pasterns and progeny that could move, wow this stallion really did have it all.

I was so very fortunate a year later to be given the opportunity to purchase this outstanding stallion and I jumped at this opportunity with open arms, it was all a dream at first, to actually have a horse of world class quality here in my paddock, it is still taking time to sink in, he is all ours every spunky piece of him. Oh and that’s not all, he is soooo quiet, absolutely nothing fazes this horse he is such a gem to handle, even my non horsey husband is happy to handle him and his babies are no exception.
